Natalia Mohylevska has shared her expectations for the 14th season of Ukraine’s Holos Krainy, saying the show will place particular emphasis on a voice that feels sincere, familiar and emotionally direct.
The Ukrainian singer is returning to the programme as a coach this autumn. She discussed the upcoming season during a meeting with presenter Ruslan Senichkin, outlining the qualities the production team hopes to find among its contestants.
According to Mohylevska, the search will be for an exceptionally strong singer, but technical ability will not be the only priority. She said the desired voice should also feel “народним” — rooted in the people and capable of reaching listeners on an emotional level. The coach added that, in the current period, the team wants audiences to enjoy the programme and find comfort in its performances.
Her comments also highlighted the significance of the show’s return. Holos Krainy has been absent for five years, and Mohylevska said that both the team and viewers have had time to miss it. The new season is scheduled to premiere on 1+1 Ukraine on 25 October.
Mohylevska will join Tina Karol and MONATIK among the confirmed coaches responsible for identifying what the programme describes as the voice of its time. The name of the fourth coach has not yet been announced, with further details expected soon.
The season’s presenting team will consist of Yuriy Horbunov and Kateryna Osadcha. With the broadcast date now confirmed and one coaching position still to be revealed, the returning Ukrainian edition is preparing to introduce its next group of singers and define the sound it believes audiences are ready to hear.
