Anne Mosters has won the 15th season of The Voice of Germany, completing a remarkable return to the German singing competition after previously reaching the Teamfights. The 20-year-old student training to become a teacher came back to the show as an Allstar and advanced through the competition to the grand final before taking the title.
Speaking to Joyn immediately after the final, Mosters said she had not yet fully processed the result. She described the victory as overwhelming and linked her progress this time to singing with greater feeling and feeling more secure than during her first appearance. She also stressed the importance of persistence, saying that contestants should not give up and should continue working toward their goals.
A central part of Mosters’ final performance was “Gravity,” an original song she first wrote in her childhood bedroom. She created the initial version at about 13, then substantially revised the lyrics before performing it on the show. Mosters explained that the song focuses on people who remain present in someone’s thoughts, whether the connection comes through a relationship or a friendship. Performing the track years after writing its first version, and doing so with the show’s live band, was especially meaningful to her.
Before the final, Mosters told Joyn that returning to The Voice of Germany felt different after her 2023 appearance. She said she was more comfortable because she already understood much of the production process, while also describing the programme’s team as a close-knit group. Her coach this season was Nico Santos, whom she had known before the competition. Compared with her experience under Ronan Keating in her first season, she described the partnership with Santos as more relaxed and said their existing familiarity helped create an easy atmosphere.
Mosters identified her Teamfights performance as one of her most important moments of the season. She knew that this was her second and final opportunity to progress further, making the successful result particularly emotional. She also recalled being surprised by Santos’ reaction during the performance, saying she admired him both as a person and as a musician and had not expected him to become so emotional.
The singer said Santos’ coaching encouraged her to focus more strongly on emotion rather than approaching every note only as a technical challenge. She described him as warm, approachable and respectful, adding that he worked with contestants on an equal footing. That advice, she said, had become an important part of how she approached her performances.
Support from her personal circle also became a notable part of Mosters’ experience. She said 43 people connected to her attended one of the live shows together, while her former school planned a public viewing after a message from its former headteacher. Mosters called the situation both unusual and touching, as the school where she had once studied was gathering people to watch her appear on television. With her return ending in a season victory, her journey now includes the full sequence of the programme’s stages, from the Blind Audition through the final.
